In 2017, Austin jazz/Brazilian/Afro-Cuban guitarist Russell Scanlon set out to record a project built around reimagined rock tunes. Danielle joined him in the studio on vocals, along with bassist Pat Harris and drummer Steve Schwelling. Here are two of the pre-release tracks, engineered by Charlie Kramsky. Stay tuned for more!

Danielle Reich’s second studio project, While They Were Dancing, was recorded on January 27, 2015, at The Zone in Austin, Texas, and released May, 2015. “While They Were Dancing” is a quartet album featuring Austin jazz legends Mitch Watkins, guitar, Pat Harris, bass, and Steve Schwelling, drums. Engineered, mixed and mastered by Pat Manske, with artwork by David Adickes and cover design by Margarey Valdez.

Big Band Samples

In 2012, Danielle began singing with Austin big band, The Lone Star Swing Syndicate, one of Austin’s most historic big bands. Its roots are traced to the Austin Ben Hur Shrine band that was formed in 1910! Here are some live recordings from Danielle’s performances with The Lone Star Swing Syndicate:
